The Myth

When Earth was at its start and life was young, there lived two powerful beings that protected this juvenile realm. These beings were Sun and Moon. The two were neither the star that warms nor the satellite that orbits. These entities were living souls who watched over Earth and kept it safe.

Sun was bold and unafraid. She was the outspoken one and was always rather straight forward when it came to situations. She had the power of light, which meant she had control over all that was not alive nor came from living. This meant the elements of fire, water, wind and earth. She manipulated the weather, electricity, and any other thing that was not alive. In addition to this, she had control over time and brought death.

Moon was more subtle and quieter. She was the mysterious one and was complicated to understand, thinking of all the possibilities. She had the power of darkness, meaning that she in charge of all that was alive and resulted from the living. This meant emotion, creativity, intelligence and imagination. She ruled that which pertained to being alive. In addition to this, she had control over dimensions and gave life.

Moon had the more unstable of the powers that they both had. Due to this, she became restless and uneasy with her status. Not like Sun, who remained unchanging in her opinion of her job.

Over time, life grew more unsound and worlds that they had been charged with protecting were not safe at all. This was when Moon approached Sun.

Moon told her partner that it was pointless to exist on the outside since they knew not what it was that was making Earth so unbalanced. She suggested that they descend and live among that which they were protecting.

Sun was against it. She said that it was senseless not seeing all of existence as they did then. She said that they were just fine the way they were and they needed no change. The conversation ended there.

After this interaction had taken place, Moon still thought that they needed to live within Earth to truly protect it. Moon decided to descend alone, even if it was against Sun’s wishes. So, she did.

It is important to mention now that Earth does not pertain to only one world. Earth is made up of many worlds, most of them not knowing of others. That is why Moon had the power of dimension in the first place. It was she who allowed the two of them to watch over all of the worlds. However, with her gone, Sun could only watch one, it was known as Terra.

Time past and Sun grew very lonely. During this forlorn era, she was able to think about what her partner had tried to tell her before she left and she was able to see what Moon had been talking about. In the end, Sun decided that she too would descend. However, she could only go into Terra. So, she did.

Sun and Moon now live among us. While the lives that Moon lives are amongst many worlds, Sun can only live lives on Terra. They walk and exist along with us, not know who they really are. In some lives, are able to unlock various powers and are able to use them. This allows them to become powerful and influential people in those lives. However, with every life that they live, their true selves forget what other looks like. They remain separated from each other and have yet to find each other in any of their lives.

Never the less, it is said that in one life they are to meet again. When this happens, the trial of Earth will begin and they will be the keys to the outcome.
